We are a small, passionate team, with a total of 60 years of experience from the Norwegian spirits’ industry. We have distinct roles, but all participate in the development, production, marketing and distribution of our craft products. We aim at producing high-quality products, true to Norwegian spirit traditions.
From the end of the 19th century and up to the 1st World War, Atlungstad was a major Norwegian distillery. In 2013, it was classified as “industrial heritage”, and we embarked on an exciting and rewarding journey to make Atlungstad great again.

Master Distiller


Halvor started as master distiller at Vinmonopolet in 1986. In the course of his 35 years of experience, he has become a central spokesman in the spirits’ industry.

Thanks to his knowledge and passion for Norwegian food and drink traditions, Halvor has been the main driver behind the phenomenal increase in interest in aquavit over the past 20 years, resulting in Norwegian aquavit’s strong position today:

A world-class spirit with similar qualities to other great cask-aged spirits, such as whisky and cognac.


Passionate Production and Logistics' Manager


As well as being Halvor’s son, Rasmus is our expert in production and logistics. He has full control over every detail and ensures that our products are aged to perfection, produced and delivered on time, and that they meet quality standards.


Rasmus adds great value to the team when discussing and planning new projects.

Managing Director


Romain is French, and has long experience from the sales and marketing of international spirit brands.


His objective is to make Atlungstad well-known as a quality craft spirit producer, both in Norway and abroad, while also respecting and building on Atlungstad’s cultural heritage and traditions.
